How to prepare for a bus trip: a quick checklist
Most departure-day hassles aren’t emergencies — they’re small things you could have checked the night before. Here’s a quick checklist that takes ten minutes in the evening and saves your nerves in the morning.
Ticket and booking
Your e-ticket arrives by email right after booking and is saved in your account under "My bookings". The day before, open it and check the date, time and boarding point — a simple date mix-up happens more often than you’d think.
You don’t need to print your ticket: just show it on your phone screen at boarding. But if your phone might run out of battery on the way, take a screenshot — it works without internet too.
Documents
For trips within Ukraine, an ID document is enough. International routes have stricter requirements that depend on the country and the carrier: an international passport, visas or other permits — check the requirements for your route in advance, and if in doubt, ask the carrier directly.
Luggage
Every carrier has its own luggage allowance: how many bags are included in the ticket and how much an extra one costs — check the terms of your trip. We’ve collected general guidelines on our luggage rules page.
Always keep valuables — documents, money, electronics — with you on board, not in the luggage hold.
When to arrive for boarding
Get to the boarding point at least 15–20 minutes before departure, and earlier for international routes. Finding the right platform or bay at an unfamiliar station can be harder than it looks on the map.
The evening before
- Check your ticket: date, time, boarding point.
- Charge your phone and power bank.
- Pack your documents in your carry-on.
- Check the weather forecast for your arrival city.
- Set an alarm with time to spare.
Have a great trip! If something goes wrong with your booking, the "Help" section on the website is there for exactly that.
